Landing Stage on Canal Bank Built for Reception of Queen Victoria

T1656. Queen Victoria visited the Worsley in October 1851, staying at Worsley New Hall, home of the Earl of Ellesmere. She travelled into Worsley on the Bridgewater Canal and alighted from the Royal Barge at this landing stage, which was specially constructed for the event, near to Worsley New Hall.
