G1844. This was originally known as the British Aerospace Welfare Association Sports and Social Club, but now known simply as the BAWA Club. Many games of cricket and football were played here by the staff of Bristol Aeroplane Company and local community groups. The caretaker 'Jim' used to live in the flat up on the third floor. The changing rooms were on the lower floor, and in the basements were kept the grass cutting equipment. On the second floor were the pavillion rooms. Notice the clock tower stating the time of 4:20 pm. Then during the early 1990's it was pulled down and replaced by a completely new building.
